I liked Old Waverley Hotel in Edinburgh

Nice hotel, good location
We were with several people over a long weekend.
The location of the Old Waverley Hotel in Edinburgh impeccable, which for us was the booking reason.
The Check Inn ran smoothly. The staff was very friendly and patient, as some of us did not speak English so well.
The Old Waverley Hotel (Edinburgh) makes an old, but well-kept impression. Since we did not want a ""modern"" hotel, but one with charm was ok.

Unfortunately, my room was in the direction of another building, which seems to be rebuilt. During the day it was a bit noisy, at night I was awakened by the light / headlights from the other building. But with drawn curtains it was ok. My friends had their rooms facing the park and did not have this problem.

I had an issue because the bed was a little bit small for my feeling. In addition, in my bathroom no sockets for a hair dryer, razors, etc.

The breakfast was as expected typical of the country. All in all we had breakfast there 3 times and it was always the same choice. I can imagine, that with a longer stay a criticism would be.

All in all, I am happy with the choice of hotel and would stay there again.

Buda Castle - Budapest. My trip to Hungary

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Our room (106)  in Buda Castle - Budapest was very big, modern and clean. The safe is big enough for a laptop, the bathroom (also very large) has a floor heating (not controllable).
Only deductions: The mattresses are really very hard and if you want to take a shower, then you have to hold the shower head in your hand, there is no attachment for it.

Very friendly, very dedicated, very helpful, good English.
We arrived quite late in the evening, were a bit tired, but also hungry. We were offered to have the food come from a nearby restaurant so we could have it in the bar. We did, was priced ok, very delicious and the bartender still lovingly prepared.
There were also tips for sightseeing, as well as information about where the nearest supermarket is, etc.
The reception is always busy, the friendliness is given at all times.

We had booked the room in advance by email via the front desk with a shuttle service and have received a voucher. This worked without problems at the airport. If you need the shuttle service for the return journey, then this should be ordered 24 hours in advance.

Great for a city trip, if you like some peace. At the top of the castle hill, where the hotel is located (one minute away from the Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion), there is nothing going on from about 8 pm. The surrounding cafés are then closed, the ""funicular"" also closes in the evening (at least in November).
Pro: Very close to the castle, various underground attractions, fisherman's bastion etc.
In the evening is not so much going on, you can make very good photos (without crowds) of the beautifully illuminated attractions of Budapest (also Chain Bridge and Parliament).
Cons: If you want to get out in the evening, pull through the bars, etc., then you are certainly better off with a hotel in Pest, not in Buda. We did not want that, so this hotel was for us, also in hindsight, the best choice.

Travel to Paris

There's really no bad time to visit France. However, the peak season for France tourism is during the summer, from June through September.Climate varies in this large country. High temperatures along the Riviera rarely fall belong 50 F (10 C), even in the winter. However, January in Pariscan be damp and chilly, with an average high temperature of 45 F (7 C). April in Paris, as the song goes, is lovely, with an average high temperature of 60 F (16 C). French Rail makes getting around France easy. Their TGV (high-speed) trains cut the travel time from Paris to Nice to just under six hours. Paris has two international airports--Charles de Gaulle Airport on the north side of the city and Orly Airport on the southwest side of thecity. Driving in Paris is not recommended, as one-way streets, heavy traffic and frequent travel circles can make driving hazardous if you're not familiar with the patterns. However, for traveling outside of Paris, renting a car is a great way to experience the countryside at a leisurely pace, especially if you visit Millennium Hotel Opera Paris.

Holiday in Paris

France extends from the English Channel to the Mediterranean Sea, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Rhine River and the Alps. There's so much to see in France, it's impossible to see it all in one visit. There's the glitter, romance and history of Paris; the relaxed glitz of the Riviera; the wine countries of Burgundy and Bordeaux and the solemn beaches and war memorials in Normandy, just to name a few highlights. There's something for practically every interest in this diverse country. Paris, the capital of France, is the most visited city in the country. It's easy to see why. The "City of Lights" is the French fashion and economic capital as well as its seat of government and cultural center. There you'll find the Louvre and Orsay art museums as well as a score of smaller art enclaves; some of the most famous fashion houses in the world; grand boulevards that were just made for an afternoon stroll; romantic river boats along the Seine; sidewalk cafes; the iconic Eiffel Tower and so much more.

As appealing as Paris can be, it is far from the only interesting place to visit in France. In fact, no single visit can possibly encompass all that this fascinating country has to offer. Other popular French tourist destinations include: Nice and the French Riviera The French Riviera, which extends from St. Tropez to the Italian border, boasts palm trees, elegant casinos, sand and small stone beaches, charming harbors and fresh seafood. Versailles Located just outside of Paris, Versailles is best known for the palace of the same name, once home to the French court. Today, you can tour the Hall of Mirrors and Marie Antoinette's bedroom as well as stroll through the manicured gardens. Tours Located along the Loire River, Tours is the center of France's Chateaux district. More than a dozen grand palaces and historic country mansions dot the landscape. Normandy This province, located on the English Channel, is best known for the beaches that were the launching site of the Allied invasion during World War II. Memorials to the men who died there can be found along the seaside. However, there is more to see in Normandy. The area is known for its apple cider, quaint villages and Gothic cathedrals. This is also the home of Monet's home at Giverny and the medieval tapestry at Bayeux. Grenoble and the French Alps Many also travel to France for the skiing. The more than two dozen French ski resorts in the Alps and surrounding mountains include Chamonix, Courcheval, Megeve and Val d'Isere.

French is the official language of France. Although English and many other European languages are often spoken and/or understood, you shouldn't assume everyone you meet speaks your language. Learning at least a few words of French before you travel can go a long way towards making a good first impression with the French men and women you meet. Hotel in Rome, Italy - my review

With its well-earned 3 stars, Apollo Hotel in Rome is a fine choice.

It is an elegant hotel with nicely furnished rooms, understanding staff, great room views and tasty breakfasts.

The best thing I like about it is a very warm atmosphere, reasonable prices and plenty of extra services such as baby sitting and spa, which is very convenient.

A nearby station is Roma Termini Railway Station. Venezia Square, Teatro dell’Opera and Marcello Theater can all be found in nearby. From this location you can easily reach The Forum Romanum. From here, Santa Maria in Aracoeli is 0.6 km (0.4 miles).
